1938-08: Factory Photo of the Ahrens 1000 Gallon, 2-stage Centrifigual Pumper

The new 1000-Gallon Ahrens-Fox Pumper arrived at Headquarters at 10:40 A.M.  it was original planned to be assigned to #2 Station, but was found to be too wide for the doors, so it was put in commission at Headquarters at 10:52 A.M. Aug. 17, 1938.

1975-04: Supernumerary Firefighters

These firefighters are members of the Supernumerary Firefighting force. Supernumerary is defined as "present in excess of the normal or requisite number." Apparently, they were not paid, did not work but were eligible to be hired full time sometime down the road.
