A new “State of the Art” Communications Center, said to the first of its type in the New England area opens at the new Fire headquarters at 629 Main Street.
A ribbon-cutting was held in the Communication Center at the new Fire Department Headquarters. Present were Mayor Julius Wilensky Fire Chief Charles R. McRedmond, Members of the Fire commission E. Gaynor Brennan Jr., Joseph A. Czescik, John Cssone and members of the Board of Representatives.
