A two-alarm fire riped through the building that once served as the old Stamford Town Hall. The 155 year-old building. which served as the Stamford Town Hall between 1830 and 1867, found itself in in the middle of a battle between historic preservation and urban redevelopment. The building had 10 apartments in it. Most were unoccupied as the owner was hoping to sell the property once everybody had moved out.
